Better Option to Create Movies.

Do you know James Cameron known as a director of “Titanic” and “Avatar”? He is famous not only as a director but also as an explore. He succeeded in exploring the world’s deepest Mariana Trench. No one has ever accomplished the feat of exploring alone except him until then.

The project name was “DEEPSEA CHALLENGE”. He drove into a one-seat submarine into the seafloor in the Mariana Trench (11,000 m depth) to collect samples useful for research on marine biology.

He recorded the research data in 3D by using LTO. The data volume of 3D is really huge but the inside space of submarine was limited. Thus, we strongly believe that James Cameron knew LTO is the best solution for saving a large volume of data in a small space.

As he used LTO, it has become major in the broadcasting industry. For example, LTO is often used to save digitalized movies because it is enough to store a two-hour movie of 4K on to one or two LTO cartridges. The merit of LTO is not only capacity but also high reliability. LTO has a lower failure rate than HDD or SSD. In addition, there are lower risks of data loss caused by blackouts or virus attacks. Therefore, LTO is the best suitable for storing large volume of data safely.
